Nasi Goreng

Ingredients –

1. 1 cup Goan rice 
2. 1 Onion 
3. 6-7 cloves garlic
4. 1/2 cup chopped carrots 
5. 1/2 cup chopped beans 
6. Sliced Spring onions (for garnish)
7. 1/4 cup dark soy 
8. Jaggery 2 tbsp 
9. 1 tbsp chili paste 
10. 1 fried egg (optional) 
11. 1/2 cup crushed peanuts 
12. Salt to taste 
13. Vegetable oil for cooking 
14. 4 lemon wedges 
15. Diced tofu 
16. 1/2 cup fried onions


1. Boil the rice and cool it down.

2. Add the jaggery to the dark soy and whisk until its smooth 

3. Heat a wok or a big pan and season it with oil 

4. Add the onions and the garlic to the pan 

5. Add the carrots and the beans 

6. Once the vegetables are cooked add the rice 

7. Add the sweet soy and chili paste along with peanuts and tofu

8. Mix till all the rice is covered with the sauce 

9. Serve in a bowl and garnish with fried onions, lemon,crushed peanuts and a fried egg
