Sweet Saffron Rice with Nutmeg & Cardamom
केसर और जैफ़ल एलैची का मीठा चावल 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups boiled white rice (any variety you prefer) 

  • 2 tbsp white sugar 

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • Few strands of saffron soaked in warm water

  • 1 green cardamom crushed 

  • 1 nutmeg and grater 

  • 3/4 pistachios slivered and toasted 

  • 2 tbsp hot water 


Directions

1. Heat the pan on medium heat. Add the ghee, cardamom, grate the nutmeg
2. Add the sugar and hot water
3. Let the sugar dissolve completely
4. Add the saffron (leave some for garnish)
5. Incorporate the spices in the rice well
6. Garnish with pistachios and saffron
7. Serve cool or warm
