A dish I cannot pass. The flavour of this humble bread in ingrained in my tastebuds since I ate it first. It’s refreshing to bring the flavours of the world on our plates when the idea of travel is so distant especially when you can pull out the basics in your kitchens and traverse to far away lands. I hope you enjoy this recipe. I promise you, it is many steps higher than a just a toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe Tomatoes

  • 4 slices of Bread with Crust

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (good quality)

  • Sea salt

  • Freshly Crushed Black Pepper

Directions

  1. Toast the bread untill golden.

  2. Scrub the garlic clove on the toast. You needed scrub the whole garlic. Just ask long as there is enough flavour on the surface of the bread.

  3. Cut the tomato into half. Then scrub the tomato onto the bread untill only the skin remains

  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper

  5. Douse generously with Olive oil
